#Lowcountry Rush SC
History of the club
In the summer of 2020 after the nationwide collapse of Global Premier Soccer (“GPS”), a few parents of GPS players and their coaches organized Bluffton International Soccer Academy, LLC (“BISA”). The Club survived the 2020-21 season amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. In May of 2021, Bluffton Rush Foundation Limited was established as a charitable organization to accept donations from sponsors to help defray the costs of the Club.
In the fall of 2022, the Foundation adopted its first set of Bylaws, elected a Board of Directors and appointed Officers of the Club. In the spring of 2023, the Foundation purchased BISA outright and acquired exclusive rights to use the Rush Soccer name in the Low Country.
In the Spring of 2025, the Board of Directors voted to change the name of the Club to "Lowcountry Rush SC" to more accurately reflect the regional demographics of our players and their families. The Club will operate under the moniker "Lowco Rush".
Today, Lowcountry Rush SC is an independent non-profit organization. All revenues generated by the Club are, by law, spent solely for the improvement of the professional services we provide for all our players and their families. Unlike "for-profit" business entities in youth sports, Lowco Rush SC can focus entirely on your children, the life lessons best taught through sports and their future both in and out of the game.
